San Francisco, November 17.- Acclaimed for its fascinating fusion of Latin and folk rhythms with jazz exploration, VNote Ensemble is the group responsible for initiating the musical cycle of Guataca Nights, which arrives with full energy to San Francisco. The new sound of the Venezuelan music crosses borders once again, and you can enjoy it on November 28 at 8pm at The Sound Room (Oakland, CA.)
Formed by Jackeline Rago (cuatro, percussion and vocals), Donna Viscuso (Flute, harmonica), Sam Bevam (bass) and Michaelle Goerlitz (percussion), VNote Ensemble gives voice to the hidden treasure of Venezuelan music. This group is committed to elevate this treasure by exploring connections between American jazz, traditional Venezuelan songs and original compositions. The VNote Ensemble challenges musical boundaries to create a new journey highlighting the infectious rhythms of joropo and swing, gaita, be-bop and calypso, among many others.
Guataca is a platform that aims to create spaces in various cities of Venezuela and around the world for Venezuelan musicians to share their projects through a unique musical experience that includes intimate concerts with high media exposure before, during and after the concert.
This is how the new sound of Venezuelan music crosses borders once again with the opening of Guataca Nights San Francisco and the talent of vNote Ensemble on 28 November at 8pm at The Sound Room.
